If you want to increase traffic almost immediately, make a quick video letting people know of your site. Use UStream.com. It’s free and easy to use. All you need is a web-cam and a microphone. I like to use the Logitech web-cam and the Logitech microphone. They are relatively cheap to purchase, at any retail outlet, or on-line, and they have a satisfactoy quality for the price, especially the microphone. The microphone actually has excellent quality.
The name of the game is to increase traffic to your site or blog. If you make a short video introducing yourself and what is on your site, you can upload it to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. I don’t think you have to be super professional about making a short intro video. The ones I’ve viewed that drove a lot of traffic were not that professional looking to me. They did, however, have some catch in them that made people watch the video.
Most videos that kept my attention had either humor, intrigue, excellent information and/or great personality and character in it to make me keep watching. In other words, they weren’t boring. So be yourself. Quit trying to do everything like everyone else. Each one of us is unique in our own right and have something to share. So try out UStream and start driving traffic to your site.
