Invest In Your Business For Making A Profit
Like any business, there are expenses to get up and running and stay running. Have you ever heard of the quote, “it takes money to make money”. I have, but I don’t know who quoted that, even though in my experience I know this to be true.
Over the years I have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in my business ventures and my own education. I’m not sure if you can have one without the other. Usually there is always something to learn in business and a person has to learn it one way or the other, whether that be formally, through formal education, or informally whereby someone shows you how to do something through the investment of time–called experience.
Either way, a person has to know what he or she is doing to be successful in business. With regard to my M.Ed., I had no choice, but to get formal education if I wanted a Masters degree, and that I had to pay for myself, which cost approximately 25K just for that.
What is important to consider, however, is how important is the education to you? How will it add value to yourself, your life and your business. Not everything is about money, but everything is about value. Is there a reason to learn something of absolute no value? In my opinion, the answer is ”no”. You might argue that you have had to learn a bunch of useless stuff to get your degree. That may be true, but at the end of the day, the value of getting your degree was still there. Otherwise, if there was no value, you most likely would not have bothered.
With that said, you have to find out what will add value to your business to make it grow. What tools do you need to either physically purchase or acquire in the form of educating yourself? For me, I find I don’t always need a physical teacher to teach me, as I like to learn things on-line using on-line tutorials. For example, the Listbuilding Club tutorials has helped me to build this site, of which I knew nothing about the technical aspects of it in January. All I did was go through the step by step video tutorials and implemented what they taught. So far so good.
No matter which way you invest in your business, know that your investment will pay off. Afterall, you are investing, which according to the Finacial Dictionary means: ”
The portion “with the expectation of obtaining an additional income or profit” is the key to why we are working and investing at all. In my opinion, it is the main reason we are doing anything, specifically Internet marketing. Most people are investing their time and resources with that goal in mind–to be financiallly independent. So yes, it is important to invest with the focus of “obtaining making a profit” and that’s why we do it.
Here are two of the top investments I have made for Internet marketing:
