Grow Rich Is More Than About Money

There are many facets of growing rich in one’s life and in one’s business.

Unless you are born rich, for most of us it is a process of accumulating wealth and wisdom over time. Some people are rich but they seemingly have no wisdom to utilize it effectively and some people’s wealth actually destroys them. But this is not the case and purpose of IwillGrowRich.com. The purpose of this site is to learn and be encouraged to grow rich over time and to use money effectively to either increase more gains, to live one’s best possible life and/or to help other people and causes.

Besides being a teacher and teaching people, I help animal causes such as cats, dogs, big cats, horses and birds. For me, it never seems like I am doing “enough”, but as long as I do my small part, whatever it is I can do, I believe it is better than nothing and hopefully in the future I can do more. I believe that when I help animals I am helping people and the environment in general. What is the connection you  might ask? The connection is, that by helping any cause it adds a bit more humanity back into the equation, helping other creatures who are suffering or just need help. Even putting out a bit of fresh water for the city birds is a nice gesture. On a bigger scale if you look at helping big cats, for example, you have to look at their environment and how you can keep the cat’s environment from being ruined, for lack of better words; same goes for any animals, whether that be the Cariboo in the North, the elephants in Africa or the mountain sheep goats in southern British Columbia. Every animal needs a habitat to live, breed and roam around in that is untouched or relatively untouched by humans, depending on the animals’ needs.

One of my mentors, Tellman Knudson, is running across the United States barefoot to raise money for the homeless youth in the US. Tellman purports to make a lot of money per year, over $5 million. I admire and respect the man and his whole team for reaching out and putting a tremendous amount of effort into the cause of homeless youth. Tellman has to run 150 miles barefoot a week to achieve his goal. How is he going to do this barefoot? Most of us could not even attempt to do this with running shoes. This truly is a man who is using his money to good use and he will be sufferring for the cause because as you can imagine, it will hurt to run barefoot on hot pavement, broken shoulders and rockie pebbles.

My point here about growing rich is that it is not just about the money. Money is a tool for us to use and if we have big or small causes we need the money so that it frees up our time. I want to be able to make a difference in the areas of life that calls to me, just like I know many of you want to make a difference in the areas of life that calls to you.

Thank you for reading my blog today and if you have any comments, please comment below. Also, if you want to sponsor or donate to Tellman’s cause for the homeless youth in US, please go to www.runtellmanrun.com and you can see his progress and make a donation. Thank you very much.
